Fiber Processing
FMI produces custom yarn formats from carbon or ceramic fibers via twisting, plying and serving. We also convert continuous carbon and/or Oxidized Polyacrylonitrile Fiber (OPF) into stretch broken yarns. These stretch broken yarns are used to reduce thermal conductivity, increase interlaminar properties and enhance conformability.
